Our new colleagues Karin Fleischer and Kyan Petersen crack the 100-employee mark
The new faces in the team
Kyan Petersen is now looking after our French customers as part of our export team. As a trained banker, customer advice is one of his areas of expertise, whether in German, English or French. In addition, he enriches our team with another language: as part of his studies in applied business languages and international business management, he lived in Japan for a year, where he learned the language and culture.
As a freshly graduated Bachelor of Arts, he is looking forward to the international cooperation with different customers: "I enjoy sales because it means I have to deal with different companies and people every day and am always faced with new challenges."
Karin Fleischer has been supporting our shipping department since June. The all-rounder lived in Switzerland from 2006-2020, where she worked for a small, globally active chemical distributor. In the order processing area, she handled everything from order confirmations to invoices and had contact with customers, factories and forwarders. "In this position, I also came into contact with forwarding agencies and the associated documents, but not in the way it should be here," Karin Fleischer is happy about the new challenge.
When she moved back to Germany after 12 years, she first worked in the administration of a children's hospice academy in Bremen. "The subject of children's hospices was difficult for me," says Karin Fleischer, explaining her change of job. She describes herself as a career changer: "Shipping and everything related to it is new territory for me. I am all the more pleased that Marinetech is giving me the chance to go in a new direction.
